And good evening! Not been able to do anything to the cars last few days with work and this bad weather! Hoping to start on the centre console mod on the mx5 this weekend though hopefully! Might finally get that last alloy into lacquer too!

Morning Dave et al,  wet and windy seems to be our lot for the next few days.........we can blame storm Diana.

I have 2 new Avon tyres on the front of my car.....the back tyres have loads of thread but they're beginning to perish (minute cracks) so I'll have two Avon's fitted to the rear this weekend......sure, Avons are budget tyres but they are ideal for a car that rarely exceeds 40 mph....TBH my car understeers "to beat the band"....could be doing with an anti roll bar and stiffening but where's the sense in that considering how I use the car.

I've always been a fan of Avon's Gerry, got them on my spare set of MINI alloys. They have really good grip, even in the wet. Think they are in the "medium" tyre range (although one of the cheapest in the range).

Bang for buck a really decent tyre. I'm looking at a full set for the mx5.

Brilliant words Dave.....I'm now feeling quite good about my choice of budget tyres.

I'm unsure if Storm Diana  has passed over yet ?   thus far we've got off light here in London.....hope it's likewise for the rest of the UK.

Have a goodun :)
